Privacy: what stays on your device
Handled is local-first. Here is what leaves your device, and when.
Handled is local-first: your tasks, events, and notes live on your device by default. Nothing is uploaded because you opened the app.
What leaves your device, and why
- If you sign in — your data is backed up to your private workspace so it can sync between your devices
- If you connect an integration — Handled exchanges data with that service so the integration can work
- If a transcript cannot be processed on device — it is processed to produce your transcript, and for nothing else
- If you connect an AI assistant — what you expose goes to that provider under their policy, until you revoke access
What we do not do
Handled does not sell your data, and does not use the contents of your tasks, notes, or meetings to advertise to you.
The full detail is in the Privacy Policy. To remove your data, see Delete your account and data.
