Capture tasks over WhatsApp
Text Handled a task, start a list, or ask what is due — from the WhatsApp you already use.
Sometimes the thought arrives when the app is nowhere near you. Link WhatsApp once and you can text Handled the way you would text a person — nothing to install, no new app.
Link your number
- 1Open Settings → Connections → Tasks and find WhatsApp.
- 2Handled shows a short code and a QR code. Scan the QR to open the chat prefilled, or start it yourself.
- 3Send LINK followed by the code, for example
LINK 7F3K9Q.
Codes are short-lived. If yours expires before you send it, open the screen again for a fresh one.
What you can send
- A task — "remind me to call Akhil tomorrow at 4pm" becomes a task with that due date and a reminder. Everyday phrasing works: today, tomorrow, weekday names, "in two hours", "at 4pm".
- A list — send something like "shopping list", then send items one at a time. Each one is appended to that note.
- A question — send "today" or "tasks" and Handled replies with what is still open.
- A correction — send "undo" within five minutes and the thing you just added is removed.
Handled never messages you first
Every reply happens because you sent something. Handled does not send scheduled reminders or nudges over WhatsApp — a task's reminder arrives as an ordinary notification on your devices, exactly like a task you typed in yourself.
Only a linked number can do anything. An unlinked number that messages the same account gets nothing back but instructions on how to link. You can unlink at any time from the same screen.
