Connect AI assistants over MCP

Let Claude and other assistants read and write your tasks and notes, with your permission.

Handled runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, the open standard assistants use to talk to your tools. Connect one and Claude, Codex, Cursor, or any other MCP client can read and manage your tasks, notes, and calendar.

Generate a token

1Open Settings → Developer.
2Choose Generate token. Handled shows the token once, along with a ready-to-paste connection command.
3Copy it right then — the token is never shown again. If you lose it, revoke it and generate another.
4Paste the command into your AI client. For Claude Code it looks like claude mcp add --transport http handled ….

MCP needs cloud sync, so you have to be signed in. It works over the network rather than on-device, which is why a purely local setup cannot use it.

What an assistant can do

Tasks — list, read one, create, update fields, and mark done or not done
Notes — list, read one as plain text, create, replace the body, or append a paragraph
Calendar — list events in a date range, and create new ones
Projects — list your task and note folders

Anything an assistant writes lands in your account and syncs down to your devices like any other change — you do not need the app open for it to work.

Staying in control

One token per client, so you can revoke a single assistant without disturbing the others
Revoking takes effect immediately, from the same Settings → Developer screen
Requests are rate-limited, so a misbehaving client cannot hammer your account

Be deliberate about what you connect. Whatever an assistant reads leaves Handled and goes to that assistant's provider under their privacy policy, not ours — see Privacy: what stays on your device.
